Dear Parents and Students,
First, I want to thank you for your care and support. I am in gratitude that all of you have shown so much trust in me. While I enjoy all the support I have received from all of you, I understand that I have a responsibility over you and your families’ well being as well. This has pushed me to make the decision not to reopen our school at this time. Although remaining closed means that our school will fall into deeper financial hardship, but I firmly believe that the existence of our school is not about making money, but about education. I see all the students as my own children; we can all live without martial arts, but we cannot live without our health, and we cannot act without responsibility towards society and our family members. Looking at the current situation around the country, health experts warn that the pandemic is not over yet; there is so much about this novel virus and its long-term sequelae that many people do not understand nor are interested in learning about. Even if I turn a blind eye to the potential consequences, it does not mean the virus will be less harmful to our community. I encourage all of us to continue to stay home for a little bit longer. In the meantime, I will start another three-week online class. I hope all of you understand my decision. Please check your email for the new online session schedule. If you did not receive it, please contact us.
